Lady Bolts Coaches
Coach Nixon Just completed his 7th year as Head Coach of the Lady Bolts. The Lady Bolts won a school record 20 games and were the regular season District Champions. Coach Nixon has also been awarded the District 5A/9 Coach of the Year award 3 straight years (16-17,17-18, 18-19) and 5 of the past 6 years.
Coach Nixon won his 100th game at Ridge Community on November 18th, 2018 and his 200th career Varsity game on January 10th, 2019. Coach Nixon resides in Davenport, FL with his wife Suzann and three daughters Kailey (25), Alexa (20), and Olivia (15) and two grandchildren Lilly (4) and Decker (3 Months). 21st season overall 7th year at Ridge Community (118- 17 years as a Varsity Head Coach (206-137-35) |
This will be Coach Morgan’s first year as Varsity Head Coach. Prior to being named Varsity Head Coach she was JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach since 2012. Coach Morgan helped coach the Lady Bolts to back-to-back Regional appearances in 2017 and 2018 for the 1st time in school history.
Coach Morgan played high school varsity softball at McKeel Academy for 5 years and contributed to her team winning the State Championship in 2005. She then went on to play for Manatee Community College as an All-Suncoast Conference infielder and finished her career at Florida Southern College in 2010. |
